when the body speaks: listening to inner cues
on somatic healing, listening to the body, and unlearning override mode
There’s a voice inside the body that whispers before it screams.
But we learn to override it — to push, to prove, to perform.
My body used to speak through headaches.
Gut flares. Neck tension.
But I didn’t know how to listen — not really.
It wasn’t until I started exploring somatics that I realized: the body doesn’t need to be fixed. It needs to be felt.
Now, I move slower.
I ask: what do you need today?
And sometimes the answer is silence.
Sometimes it’s dance.
Sometimes it’s rest, even when the schedule says otherwise.
try this:
Pause.
Scan from crown to soles.
Where do you feel the most sensation?
Place your hand there.
Ask: what are you trying to tell me?
